Our Plant of the Month for June is the Myoporum Broadleaf form commonly known as Creeping Boobialla. This is a fast growing low maintenance groundcover with masses of small white star shaped flowers mainly in Summer. It has semi succulent green leaves, is a good weed suppressant and prefers to grow in full sun or part shade. Myoporum is frost and drought hardy, fire retardant and suits well drained coastal conditions. It grows to only 10cm high and has a spread of around 2 metres. it will do best if you chop back the woody stems in Winter to encourage fresh new growth.
