Plant of the Month: Tilapariti tiliaceum rubrum

Our plant of the month for March is Tilapariti tiliaceum rubrum (formerly Hibiscus tiliaceus rubrum). This native hibiscus also known as Red Cottonwood is popular for its showy yellow flowers, evergreen red, heart shaped leaves and tropical appearance. It can be grown as a small spreading tree, large hedge/screen, wind break or as an attractive specimen plant. Plant in a warm frost free position. Suitable for coastal conditions. 8m x 3-5m. Full sun/part shade.
